Groucho Marx once said:
"Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. "
Granted she probably couldn't say this but, Emma Williams lived this in my opinion. She was diagnosed with Leukemia at less than a year old. Her parents are also extremely courageous, I can't even imagine being in their shoes. This spring (yes I am behind) her parents and friends had a golf tournament in her honor to help raise money for her treatments.
This spring she also 'rang the bell,' which signifies she is cancer free! I was fortunate to cover the event and take photos of the 12+ teams involved in the tournament and grab some detail shots.
